How We Help

The Center for Advancement of Rural Living is a not-profit 501-C3 organization based in Caribou, Maine. The organization was established in 2011 for the purpose of filling gaps in service for rural populations with a focus on social, economic and cultural arenas. Our key areas of focus include:

The Caribou Area Ride Service (CARS) is now available to Caribou zip code 04736 - for residents over the age of 65!

Call 207-493-1223 to register as a member and request rides OR for more information!

Rides are $4 round trip, but before you can ride, a deposit must be made on your account by cash or check.

Registration and deposits can be made at Caribou City Hall in the entry-way kiosk. Deposits and member forms can also be mailed to:
