Contest Information

1. Who Can Enter

  • Group 1: Ages 6–10

  • Group 2: Ages 11–15

  • Group 3: Ages 16–17

  • Group 4: Ages 18 and older

2. Theme

Create an original artwork depicting one of your happiest, most meaningful, or most memorable moments with an older friend, relative, mentor, or community member age 70 or older.

3. Accepted Artwork

All original visual art forms are welcome, including drawing, painting, collage, photography, sculpture, fiber art, wood, stone, mixed media, and digital art prints.

Physical submissions only.

4. Submission Location

5. Awards

Each age group is eligible for:

1st Place - $100

2nd Place - $50

Honorable Mention - $25

6. Recognition

Winners will be recognized publicly. Photographs of artists and winning artwork may appear in local newspapers, on the CARL website, and on CARL social media.

Winning entries will also be included in a public exhibition.
